Who we are

U.S. eye care is provided by independent, licensed professionals. Provider participation, benefits, coverage and service availability must be confirmed separately; no provider partnership or insurance coverage is promised.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when you create an account or submit a request through an available service. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account. A parent or guardian should handle information and requests relating to a child.

Orders and calculations

Prices, comparisons and savings calculations are informational estimates, not guarantees of savings, inventory, insurance coverage or final charges. U.S. product prices are displayed in USD. Product prices, annual administrative fee, dispensing, shipping, applicable taxes and permitted payment-processing charges are separate; review the available fee information before purchasing.

U.S. orders are quoted and charged by card in USD at the prices shown on the U.S. site. Paid Contacts orders are held until our optometrist reviews the prescription; if it cannot be approved, the order does not ship and our team contacts you about your refund. Browsing or entering prescription information alone does not create an order. Confirm product suitability and any insurance benefits with the relevant licensed professional or benefits plan.

Frame and lens-package estimates are not chargeable online.

AI and measurement tools

AI answers, image recognition and product matches can be wrong. Check product names, strengths where applicable, variants, pack sizes and any transcribed details before proceeding. Chat does not diagnose, prescribe, verify a prescription or perform transactions for you. Do not put personal health documents or payment-card details in chat.

Provider and organization applications

Submitting an application or briefing request asks us to review it. It does not establish approval, activate annual administrative fee, grant portal access, create a service agreement or guarantee referrals, compensation or service availability. Any separate acknowledgements and terms presented with that service also apply.

Cost Plus Alerts (SMS program)

SMS enrollment and Cost Plus Alerts are not currently available in this app. Providing a telephone number for an order or application does not enroll you in text messages.

If we introduce SMS alerts, we will present the program details and request separate, optional consent before enrollment, including information about message frequency, possible message and data charges, cancellation and help. These Terms do not enroll you in a future SMS program. Promotional text messages are not offered.

You may not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful content or interfere with other users or providers.

Disclaimers

The site and services are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Clinical responsibility rests with the independent licensed providers involved in your care.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cost Plus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms, subject to applicable law and any additional notice or consent required by law.
